What happens when the emotional highs of a successful project mix with the lows of unexpected crises? This week, we take you on a rollercoaster journey that begins with a technically challenging yet triumphant podcast recording featuring LeeAnn and Courtney from Styles in Motion in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Just as things seemed on track, our world was turned upside down by an emergency vet visit for our puppy, Jack Elvis, who had a health scare involving blood in her stool. As soon as Jack Elvis started to mend, the other pup, Vella, developed an entirely different GI Issue that meant another emergency trip to the vet. This time, on the morning of Autistic Wings Dance Company's first open house. To add to the stress, we faced the disappointment of an empty open house event, despite our high hopes. You'll hear about the emotional turmoil we experienced, fearing the worst for our beloved Vella, only to receive a surprising and uplifting prognosis. We also share our cautious optimism about offering future evening classes and adult programs, even though Leta's trust in the community has been tested. (Twelve years olds tend to have big feelings.) Amidst the chaos, there are glimmers of hope and new beginnings at AWDC. We discuss our ambitious plans to provide inclusive evening classes for kids and adults on the Autism Spectrum, and underscore the vital role of community support and donations. Miss Gayle's ongoing efforts to obtain her Rhythm Works certification are a testament to our dedication, while the generous emergency care from VCA Northwest for Vella reminds us of the kindness that surrounds us. Join us as we reflect on the relief of having our puppies safe, outline logistical plans for their care, and express our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support. Don’t forget to like, comment, subscribe, and share as we continue to navigate this emotional journey together.
